11 Aug Hot Golf Summer!
Jumpins it’s hot! (and no, I’m not complaining)
I am sitting at Forest Hills golf course right now as I type this. A group of two young couples just left the clubhouse after buying a few large buckets of range balls and one large bucket of blue lobster vodka sodas haha. I love seeing this! It’s been a great summer for new people getting into the game of golf. The driving range is a great place to start and can be a fun way to spend a date night or family hour. My wife and I have been trying to get out and play in the Andersons Creek Friday Night Socials this season. She seems to be enjoying it and I actually have been as well. We get to play nine holes and then hit the clubhouse for nachos/drinks after the round. Friday nights at the Creek have been a hit. Every week I am seeing some new faces and I love seeing beginner golfers get hooked. Golf doesn’t need to be 18 holes. A fun 9 holes with friends with some drinks on the deck afterwards to cool down is a great time. If you want more info on Friday night social hit me up, text 902-213-5028.
Speaking of a hit, how good was Collin Morikawa on the weekend?! That guy can golf his ball! He has more wins on tour than missed cuts in his young career! That drive he hit on the 16th hole was so clutch. My only disappointment from the PGA Championship was I picked Brooks Koepka and he had a brutal Sunday… Cost me $20… Anyways…
Another couple great things happened this weekend. The Montreal Canadiens knocked out the Penguins and the Leafs are out! Now that’s the type of golf season I like to see! Lots of hockey chatter around the golf courses these days and I love it! Go Habs!
Golf Mania PEI is hosting the Levelwear Summer Slam on August 19th at Andersons Creek. I want to thank everyone that signed up so quickly! The event is sold out but we will be doing another similar event on Thursday September 17th called “September Slam”. More details will be announced this week.
To wrap up, I am going to be changing this blog and getting more active on here. New blog will be called “18 Holes with BK” I will doing a bullet point blog style post every week. 18 points for 18 holes. Stay tuned!
